At the National Tennis Center, Forte Challenger 125 tournament is gaining momentum. Live broadcasts of ALL matches simultaneously from TWO tennis courts are available for watching on the website WWW.KTF.KZ.
 
Timofey Skatov, who received a wild card from the organizers, reached the second round of the “Challenger” series tournament of 125 level for the first time in his career. In the starting match, Kazakhstani defeated his fellow countryman Dmitry Popko with a score of 6:4, 6:4. In the match, which lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes, the opponents were often unlucky on their serves. Skatov made five breaks, Popko - three. Dmitry also made five double faults, while Timofey made two. The only component in which Popko surpassed Skatov was the number of aces: five against three. To reach the quarterfinals Timofey will compete with Austrian Sebastian Ofner, who defeated Russian Evgeny Donskoy in the first round.
 
Aleksandr Nedovyesov could not make it to the second round. One of the leaders of the Kazakhstani tennis lost to Ukrainian Vladislav Manafov in two sets - 5:7, 3:6.
 
Matches in doubles also started on Forte Challenger 125. Two athletes named Denis, Kazakhstani Yevseyev and Istomin from Uzbekistan, lost to the first seeded Americans Jackson Withrow/Nathaniel Lammons - 1:6, 6:4, 7:10.
