ATP 250 Astana Open 2023

About the tournament

The capital of Kazakhstan is once again preparing to host a world-class tournament. The national tennis centre Beeline Arena will host the ATP 250 Astana Open for the third time. Astana has already hosted a tournament of this category in 2020 and 2021, and in 2022 the event was upgraded to ATP 500 series tournament for the first time in the history of Kazakh tennis.



This year's edition will take place from 26 September to 3 October. The following players have already confirmed their participation: Kazakjstan's No.1 and world's No. 25, winner of ATP 500 in Halle Alexander Bublik; three Grand Slam title winner, Olympic champion, winner of 19 ATP titles, Davis Cup champion, world's former No. 3 Stan Wawrinka (Switzerland); Grand Slam winner and 17 ATP titles winner, former world's No. 3 Dominic Thiem (Austria);  one junior Grand Slam title winner, former world's No. 1 in juniors, current world No. 32 Sebastian Korda (USA).

The tournament's prize money is US$1,017,860.

The ATP Tour is one of the few truly global sports properties, taking place across 64 tournaments in 30 countries, in addition to the four Grand Slams. As of 2020, the series includes 39 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion. Draws consist of 28, 32, or 48 for singles and 16 for doubles.
