
Astana Open WTA-250. Greeting the participants
From September 25 to October 02, the Kazakh capital will become a center of tennis beauty for a week. The strongest tennis players from different parts of the world will come to compete for the coveted trophies of the prestigious tournament - «Astana Open» WTA 250, as reported by the Press Service of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.

She first took the racket at the age of 6. Yulia is forehand and prefers to play on clay. At a very young age, she moved to Paris to attend the Muratoglu Academy after winning the U14 World Championship. At the age of fifteen, she reached the final of the US Open in Singles. Two years later, Yulia achieved a similar result at the Australian Open.
Achievements in the WTA series events:
2021 - Hungarian Grand Prix WTA 250 (clay) winner;
2019 - NURNBERGER Versicherungscup WTA-250 (clay) winner;
2018 - Guangzhou Open WTA-250 (hard) runner-up;
2019 - St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy WTA-500 (hard) runner-up.

The most titled participant of the upcoming event in Nur-Sultan will undoubtedly be Kristina Mladenovich. A Frenchwoman of Serbian blood was born in France, in the small town of Saint-Paul-sur-Mer. Kristina grew up in a sports family: her father is a handball player (he participated in the 1984 Olympic Games), her mother is a professional volleyball player, and her brother is engaged in football. Kristina is the winner of five Grand Slams in doubles (French Open 2016, 2019, 2020, Australian Open 2018, 2020), champion of two Grand Slams in mixed doubles (Wimbledon 2013, Australian Open 2014) , and also twice champion of the WTA Finals in doubles. Kristina is world's former No. 1 in doubles.
