«The upcoming tournaments of «Challenger» series in Almaty are very important for the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation since they provide a great opportunity to our leading players, who are progressing from junior to professional level. At the moment, they gained a foothold at the «futures» level. Such players as Skatov, Tashbulatov and Lomakin already vigorously participate in the qualifiers and take part in the main «Challengers» draws. The fact that there will be two consequent tournaments on the courts of «CSKA» tennis center in Almaty gives them, of course, a small but extra advantage, because they know this clay and how to play on it. Moreover, this is an opportunity for Kazakhstani players to get the necessary points and experience without leaving the country. Also, our tournaments are traditionally important for foreign players, because everyone knows that we organize competitions at a high level. During the pandemic, security is always ensured. We have already proven this many times. We are using the advantage of holding these two tournaments to raise our «CSKA» base to the international level. We are making the necessary changes, improving the infrastructure and completing the base. We have built a gym for physical training, where you have all necessary equipment. Therefore, we have hope and confidence that we will be able to hold events at a high and quality level. This will be a good start for our players before the tournaments in July, which are part of the «President's Cup» in the «Challenger 80» category» – Yuriy Polskiy, the Vice president of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation noted.
Taking into account the increased sanitary and epidemiological measures during the tournaments, matches will be held without the admission of spectators and within the framework of a strict protocol. Due to strict regulations, players should not go on excursions, visit museums or walk around the city.
