While his real takeoff came at the Australian Open in 2021, where Aslan won eight matches in a row including qualification, and reached the semifinals, having then lost to the future champion, Serb Novak Djokovic. The only ATP title Karatsev won this year in Dubai (Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships ATP 500).

Filip Krajinovic, a Serb of Croatian origin, has been playing tennis at a professional level since 2008. He missed out most of the 2016 season due to serious injury. In the fall of 2017, at the Masters in Paris, Philip unexpectedly reached the final, where he lost to American Jack Sock. Krajinovic then became the runner-up at the ATP 250 series events in Stockholm and Budapest in 2019. This year in Hamburg in the decisive game he lost to the Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta. According to Krajinovich, he is coming to Nur-Sultan to capture his first ATP title.

Benoit Paire was born in Avignon, France. He now lives in Geneva. Paire started his professional career in 2007. His favorite stroke is the backhand, favourite ground is clay, and the idol of his childhood is Marat Safin. In 2014, Paire underwent severe knee surgery, and a year later received the ATP «Comeback of the Year» award. Paire's most impressive pride is his beard, which he has never parted with throughout his career. It even has become a kind of symbol, and fans lovingly call him Benoit «the beardy».
