The international ITF Juniors circuit concluded its latest stop in Germany with the Hamburg J100, where Kazakhstan’s rising talent, 16-year-old Eva Korysheva, delivered a standout performance by reaching the championship match.

In a hard-fought final, Korysheva (ITF No. 342) faced off against local favorite Milena Steinkamp (ITF No. 1029). The encounter pushed both players to their limits, spanning three intense sets before the German ultimately clinched the title on home soil. The match ended 2-6, 6-3, 6-7.

Despite the narrow defeat, Korysheva displayed remarkable resilience. After a difficult opening set, she dominated the second frame and went toe-to-toe with her opponent in a deciding third set that was only settled by a razor-thin margin in the tiebreak.

For the 16-year-old Kazakhstani, reaching a J100 category final marks a significant milestone in her professional development and will provide a substantial boost to her world junior ranking. Throughout the week in Hamburg, Korysheva reaffirmed her status as one of the most promising young prospects in Kazakhstani tennis.
