Anna Danilina's home triumph

The ITF World Tennis Tour «BeeTV 40 Women's» doubles tournament ended at the national tennis center Beeline Arena.

In the final the first and second seeded duets of the competition came together. Kazakhstan's Anna Danilina and Irina Shymanovich (Belarus) won in three sets in a spectacular match against Na Lae Han/Su Jong Chan of South Korea 6-4, 6-7 (8-10), 10-7.

«It was a tough match with elements of drama, but if the final wasn't dramatic, it wouldn't be interesting to watch. I've played against this pair before and also in the final - back then we won on the decisive tiebreak as well. I knew they play at a good level and it would be a hard match, so I had to fight till the end. Of course I wanted to win in an easier way and not have a super tiebreak. And that's why I'm very happy that the final outcome was in our favor. It's always nice to play at home, especially as this is the second time I win in Astana: my first victory was several years ago at the «President's Cup». I'm very happy, great feelings! I want to say thanks to my partner Irina, we had a great week. I wish her good luck at the second tournament, which starts here on Monday, and I'll fly to USA tomorrow for two Masters, - Anna Danilina said after the award ceremony.
