Statement by the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan

Information has appeared in the media that Russian tennis player Aleksandr Shevchenko has changed his sporting citizenship and will now play for Kazakhstan. The Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan reports that it did receive an appeal from Aleksandr Shevchenko. It is currently under review. We must take into account that KTF regularly refers to players who want to play for our country. And each case is reviewed carefully and balanced. If any transfer takes place under the auspices of the KTF, the Federation will inform the publicity.
