  Kazakhstan defeated Switzerland in doubles. Kazakhstan team’s captain Dias Doskarayev assigned Andrey Golubev and Alexander Nedovyesov to play in doubles. They played against Olympic champions Roger Federer paired with Stanislas Wawrinka. The match lasted for 2 hours and 56 minutes. The result of the match 6:4 7:6(5) 4:6 7:6(6) in favor of Kazakhstan athletes.
- It was not easy to come out on courts for the national team especially for the first time. Especially it was not easy to come out against Olympic champions, the worst-case scenario you can imagine. I am very happy and I want to express my gratitude Andrey for a good game and support on court – Alexander Nedovyesov commented after the match.
- We fought for every ball for every point. We psychologically maintained the stress in the fourth set when tiebreak was not in our favor, - Andrey Golubev commented.
