Almaty to host the Regional coaches conference of West and Central Asia for the first time

From October 17 to 19, 2026, the CSKA Tennis Club in Almaty will host the Regional coaches conference of West and Central Asia. For the first time in history, an event of this scale will be held in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, bringing together coaches, experts, and representatives of the international tennis community.

The conference will become one of the region's largest educational platforms for tennis coaches. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest player development methodologies, exchange professional experience with colleagues, and attend lectures and practical sessions led by internationally renowned experts.

Confirmed speakers include Aleš Filipčič (Slovenia), Professor at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Ljubljana and an international World Tennis tutor; Philipp Born (Germany), coach and researcher at the German Sport University Cologne; Ryan Kruger, Education Manager in the World Tennis Development Department; Amir Borghei, World Tennis Development Officer for West Asia; and Marco Panichi (Italy), one of the world's leading strength and conditioning specialists, who worked with Novak Djokovic for many years and has also collaborated with Jannik Sinner.

Kazakhstan will be represented by Irina Chichmarova, an official International Tennis Federation Level 3 Tutor and Educator and coordinator of the national coaching education programme, as well as Yaroslava Shvedova, a Grand Slam doubles champion and former Kazakhstan No. 1 in doubles.

The detailed conference programme, including presentation topics and additional confirmed speakers, will be announced at a later date.

The official arrival day is October 16, with the conference taking place from October 17 to 19, while the official departure day is October 20.

Participants may choose between two attendance packages. The full package, priced at 150,000 KZT, includes four nights of accommodation at Mildom Residence Hotel (twin-room occupancy), meals, airport and local transfers, full access to the conference programme, conference souvenirs, and tickets to the Almaty Open ATP 250 matches taking place during the conference. A Conference Only package is also available for 100,000 KZT, including access to the conference programme, meals, conference souvenirs, and tournament tickets.

Registration consists of two steps. Participants must first register through the World Tennis Academy platform and pay the mandatory USD 50 registration fee. Coaches from Kazakhstan can then book and pay for their preferred package through their personal account in the KazPin Coach system.

The registration deadline is September 4, 2026. Cancellations with a full refund are accepted until September 18. After this date, refunds will not be issued; however, participant substitutions are permitted, provided the replacement coach is of the same gender.
