Elena Rybakina exits Wimbledon 2026 in the third round
Kazakhstan's top women's singles player Elena Rybakina suffered a defeat in the third round (Round of 32) of the Wimbledon 2026 Grand Slam tournament.
The world No. 2 faced Belgium's Elise Mertens, ranked No. 25 in the world. The match lasted two sets and ended in Rybakina's defeat 6-7(4), 1-6.
The players spent 1 hour and 33 minutes on court. During the match, Rybakina struck two aces, committed six double faults, and converted two of her nine break-point opportunities.
As a result, the 2022 Wimbledon champion concluded her campaign at Wimbledon 2026 in the third round.
