Andrey Golubev holds masterclass for young tennis players in Karaganda

Following his appearance at Roland Garros, Kazakhstani tennis player Andrey Golubev traded the atmosphere of world-class tennis for a meeting with young talents.

Golubev is one of Kazakhstan’s most accomplished tennis players. He is an ATP singles champion in Hamburg, a multiple ATP doubles title holder, a finalist at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros, and a long-time leader of Kazakhstan’s Davis Cup team.

The player visited Karaganda, where he conducted a masterclass for students of a local tennis school. For many of the youngsters, it was a unique opportunity to meet a professional competing on some of the biggest stages in world tennis.

Golubev spoke with the children, shared insights into professional sport, and demonstrated some of his signature shots and techniques.

According to Golubev, every tennis player experiences a certain level of «healthy» nervousness before a match. He noted that pressure is a special privilege, particularly when representing Kazakhstan in the Davis Cup. Proper warm-up and full concentration on the match are key factors in overcoming distractions and performing at your best.

The young athletes also had the chance to take memorable photos and receive autographs from the tennis star. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving lasting impressions on both the children and their parents.

The trip was not limited to tennis activities. It was also reported that Golubev attended a family celebration hosted by the parents of his wife, Meruert, in Petropavl. After a busy season and competing at one of the world’s most prestigious tournaments, the player was able to spend several days with his family.

Fans noted that despite his demanding international schedule, Andrey Golubev remains approachable and continues to support the development of tennis in Kazakhstan while inspiring the next generation of players.
