Kazakh Junior Girls Finish Among Top Seven at Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers
The regional qualifying tournament for the Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals in the Asia/Oceania zone for girls under 16 has concluded in Shymkent. On the final day of competition, Team Kazakhstan edged out India in a dramatic tie to secure seventh place overall.

Team captain Yaroslava Shvedova reflected on the squad’s performance:
«Our girls performed well and gave it their all. It’s important to remember that we were not among the seeded teams from the beginning, so the draw was challenging right from the start. Nevertheless, the girls fought in every match and showed great character and team spirit. This experience is invaluable for them and will certainly help them face new challenges in the future.»
