The doubles final of the ATP Challenger 50 in Shymkent concluded with a victory for Germany’s Max Wiskandt and Max Hans Rehberg, who secured the championship trophy in a contested battle.

The final against the American-Russian pairing of Dali Blanch and Svyatoslav Gulin was a match of two halves. The German tandem dominated the opening set, clinical in their execution and conceding only one game to finish 6:1. However, the momentum shifted in the second set as Blanch and Gulin ramped up the pressure, leveling the score with a 5:7 win to force a decider. The title was ultimately decided in a match tie-break, where Wiskandt and Rehberg remained composed during the critical points to seal a 10:6 victory.

The tournament program continues with the singles final. Top seed Timofey Skatov of Kazakhstan (World No. 198) safely navigated his semifinal hurdle and will face Uzbekistan’s Sergey Fomin (World No. 359) in the championship match.

The singles final is scheduled for 14:00 Astana time.
