
Daniil Medvedev to Play at ATP 250 Almaty Open
Global tennis star, former World No. 1, 2021 US Open champion, runner-up at the Australian Open (2021, 2022, 2024), winner of the 2020 ATP Finals, 2021 Davis Cup and ATP Cup champion, and holder of 20 ATP singles titles, Daniil Medvedev has confirmed his participation in the ATP 250 Almaty Open, taking place in Almaty from October 11 to 19.
Medvedev’s participation elevates the tournament to a whole new level, making it one of the most anticipated events of the season. Kazakh fans will have a unique chance to witness live the performance of one of the brightest stars in modern tennis.
Daniil Medvedev holds a special connection with Kazakhstan. In 2022, he played at the ATP 500 tournament in Astana, reaching the semifinals and narrowly losing to eventual champion Novak Djokovic despite holding match points. He also claimed his first junior title in Ust-Kamenogorsk, marking the beginning of his professional tennis journey.
