Kazakhstan's squad for the match against Japan announced
Kazakhstan national tennis team will play the away qualifying Billie Jean King Cup tie against Japan on April 12-13.
The coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team led by Yuriy Shchukin has selected the following players for the tie: Yulia Putintseva, Zarina Diyas, Anna Danilina, Zhibek Kulambayeva and Aruzhan Sagandykova.
The tie will take place on the hard court of Ariake Coliseum Arena, and will be played with four singles and one doubles matches in the best-of-three-set format.
Kazakh team leader Elena Rybakina will not play in Tokyo. This year the Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris, and the coaching staff of the national team decided that Elena will miss the BJKC tie against the Japanese in order not to disrupt the dedicated preparation for the main sporting event of the quadrennium, to which Rybakina should approach healthy and in optimal shape. Elena's priority this year is her performance at the Olympic Games.
