For the first time in its history, the Kazakh women's team climbed to 7th place in the world rankings
The Kazakh women's tennis team moved up from 10th to seventh place in the updated Billie Jean King Cup rankings. It's the highest ranking position in the history of our national women's team.
The team beat teams of Italy, USA, Germany, Romania, Belgium and Great Britain.
Kazakhs outplayed Polish in a home BJKC qualification tie, 3:1 and went on to the final round of the tournament to be held in November this year.
The leader of the world ranking is still the Swiss team, the current winner of the Billie Jean King Cup.
