Nur-Sultan to host Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas tie Kazakhstan vs Germany
The tie is the last stage before the Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas finals. Qualifying matches will be held on a specially laid clay surface in the National Tennis Center (NTC). The arena is designed for more than 2,500 spectators and has previously repeatedly hosted matches of both Kazakh men's and women's teams, as reported by the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation press service.
«The NTC was not chosen by chance,» said Yuriy Polskiy, Vice President of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation. «We have very good statistics on the capital's courts, where our national teams consistently defeat eminent rivals, including the teams of Switzerland, Argentina, Japan, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and many others. Kazakh players treat home matches with particular responsibility. Thanks to the quality preparation and the support of our beloved fans and the home ground, we have already won 20 matches at home, which is an amazing statistic. We will do our best to keep this trend going.»
