World No. 1 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan will visit Astana and Almaty, where she will hold masterclasses for young athletes. Her visit to Kazakhstan comes following her historic victory at the US Open and her rise to the top of the WTA world rankings.

During her week-long visit, Rybakina will hold masterclasses for young tennis players, share her experience with them, and meet with fans. In addition, she will undergo a medical examination in Kazakhstan due to an Achilles tendon injury sustained at the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, which forced her to withdraw from the quarterfinals.

The injury continued to trouble Rybakina during the 2026 US Open. However, despite the pain, Elena managed to claim the championship title, playing the final matches of the tournament while taking painkillers.

Rybakina previously won the Wimbledon title in 2022 and the Australian Open title in 2026. Her victory at the US Open secured Kazakhstan's third Grand Slam singles title and further cemented the country's place in the history of world tennis.

According to her coaching team, Rybakina will require at least two weeks of treatment and recovery. As a result, she will be unable to participate in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, which will take place in China. Her immediate priority will be to recover from the injury and return to full training.

Elena has repeatedly emphasized how proud she is to represent Kazakhstan on the international stage. Her achievements hold special significance for Kazakhstani tennis, while her US Open triumph and rise to World No. 1 mark an important milestone in the history of Kazakhstan's sport.
