Champions of the first week of the Asu Open determined
The first week of the World Tennis Tour M15/W15 Asu Open concluded at the Beeline Arena National Tennis Center in Astana, where the champions of the opening week were crowned.
In the women's singles event, Edda Mamedova of Russia claimed the title after defeating fellow Russian Viktoria Milovanova in the final.
The men's M15 title went to top seed Petr Bar Biryukov, who overcame Grigoriy Shchebekin in the championship match.
Kazakhstan's best results came from Zangar Nurlanuly, Damir Zhalgasbay, and Eva Korysheva, all of whom reached the semifinals before concluding their campaigns.
In the men's doubles event, Japan's Sora Fukuda and Shunsuke Mitsui claimed the title after defeating Kazakhstan's Danial Rakhmatullayev and Damir Zhalgasbay in the final.
The women's doubles title also went to Japan, with Yuka Hosoki and Kisa Yoshioka emerging victorious. In the championship match, they defeated the Kazakh-Russian duo of Aruzhan Sagandykova and Daria Zelinskaya.

The Asu Open continues with the second week of competition already underway at the Beeline Arena National Tennis Center. The champions of the second week will be crowned on 9 August.
