
Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic fall one step short of Wimbledon 2026 quarterfinals
Kazakhstan’s top women’s doubles player Anna Danilina was defeated in the third round of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships.
Ranked No. 6 in the WTA doubles rankings, Danilina competed at the grass-court Grand Slam alongside Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunic. The pair entered the tournament as the third seeds.
In the third round, Danilina and Krunic lost 7:5, 4:6, 4:6 to the duo of Estonia’s Ingrid Neel and Mexico’s Giuliana Olmos.
The match lasted 2 hours and 48 minutes. During that time, the Kazakh-Serbian pair fired seven aces, committed five double faults, and converted one of their 10 break points.
As a result, Danilina and Krunic concluded their Wimbledon 2026 campaign in the third round.
