
14-year-old Akhmadi Makhanov Triumphs at Tournament in China
Kazakhstani tennis player Akhmadi Makhanov captured the title at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J60 tournament held in Chengdu, China.
In the final, the 14-year-old Kazakh confidently defeated Chinese Taipei’s K. Mao in straight sets, 6–2, 6–4.
It is worth noting that Makhanov was named the 2025 «Overseas Player of the Year» by the Tennis Europe. The prestigious award recognizes the top junior players representing countries outside the European region for their outstanding achievements on the court.
