The Kazakhstan Tennis Federation (KTF) has officially unveiled the women’s national team roster for the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup qualifying round. On April 10-11, 2026, Kazakhstan will host Canada on the clay courts of the Beeline Arena in Astana, with a coveted spot in the World Cup Finals on the line.

Team Kazakhstan Roster

The national squad features a blend of established leaders and rising talents:

- Anna Danilina (WTA Doubles No. 6)
- Yulia Putintseva (WTA No. 76)
- Zhibek Kulambayeva (WTA Doubles No. 178)
- Aruzhan Sagandykova (WTA No. 871)
- Sonya Zhiyenbayeva (WTA No. 1018)

National leader and world No. 3 Elena Rybakina will not participate in the upcoming tie. This decision was reached collectively by the KTF, the athlete, and her coaching staff. Rybakina’s primary objective this season is the pursuit of the world No. 1 ranking. The Federation remains firm in its belief that securing the top spot in the WTA rankings would represent a historic triumph for Kazakhstan, and all resources are currently being channeled toward this strategic milestone.

Team Canada Roster

Canada, currently ranked 4th in the BJKC standings and crowned 2023 champions, arrives in Astana as one of the tournament favorites. Their lineup includes:

- Victoria Mboko (WTA No. 10)
- Gabriela Dabrowski (WTA Doubles No. 2)
- Marina Stakusic (WTA No. 130)
- Bianca Andreescu (WTA No. 165)
- Kayla Cross (WTA No. 194)

The winner of this tie will earn direct entry into the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. The Federation invites all fans to support the national team in what promises to be a decisive home-court battle.
