Kazakhstan’s doubles No. 1 Anna Danilina and partner Aleksandra Krunic of Serbia have secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells. In the 1/8 finals, the duo dispatched the Ukrainian-American pairing of Lyudmyla Kichenok and Desirae Krawczyk with a clinical 6-4, 6-1 victory.

Throughout the match, Danilina and Krunic maintained control on their serve, firing two aces and converting 5 of 10 break point opportunities. This win follows a high-stakes opening round in the California «Masters,» where they knocked out the veteran tandem of Sloane Stephens and Donna Vekic.

The current season continues to be highly successful for Anna, including a runner-up finish at the Australian Open and a title in Doha. Following these consistent results, the Kazakhstani star has climbed to a career-high World No. 6 in the WTA doubles rankings. Their next opponents will be determined by the end of the current match day.
