ATP 250 Almaty Open receives Award for outstanding organizational quality
The 2025 ATP Awards ceremony took place in Turin, Italy.
The Almaty Open was recognized by players as one of the best ATP 250 tournaments of the year and received the award for «Outstanding organizational quality» from the ATP. In the Asia-Pacific region, Dubai (ATP 500) and Shanghai (ATP 1000) were also honored with this distinction.
«We are very proud to receive such a prestigious award from the ATP for the first time. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering the highest level of sporting experience for both players and fans,» said Yuriy Polskiy, Head of the organizing committee of the ATP 250 Almaty Open and Vice President of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
«The tournament’s high standards are part of the long-term strategy of Kazakhstan Tennis Federation President Bulat Utemuratov, whose main goal is to elevate the Almaty Open to ATP 500 status. This will attract even more world-class tennis players to Kazakhstan and further promote the development and popularity of the sport in our country.»
The ATP standards of excellence recognition awards are presented to tournaments that achieve the highest overall player satisfaction ratings, based on surveys conducted after each event. The surveys evaluate every aspect of a player’s experience at the tournament and form part of the ATP’s ongoing efforts to raise standards across the tour.
Currently, there are 27 ATP 250 tournaments held on the professional ATP Tour, each awarding 250 ranking points to the winner. Of these 27 events, only six take place in the Asia-Pacific region — including the ATP 250 Almaty Open.
