Beibit Zhukayev Ready to Shine at Home in Almaty Open

» Always amazing to come home and play home events.»   says Kazakhstan’s Beibit Zhukayev says he is excited to compete in front of home fans at next week’s Almaty Open, describing it as « The 24-year-old added that he is motivated to «make my friends, parents, and family proud» as he aims for a strong run in the ATP 250 tournament.

Beibit, who is celebrating his birthday today, mentioned  «  Looking ahead, my  goals are clear. «To win the tournament would be a successful week for me,» he said. «My aim is to keep improving and break into the top 150, then the top 100 — and then even higher.»
Reflecting on the rapid growth of tennis in Kazakhstan over the past five years, Zhukayev credited the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation’s investments in facilities and player development. «A lot more people are coming to matches and taking their kids to tennis clubs. It’s on the right path,» he said. Having trained at the national academy in Astana, he emphasized how that support «helped a lot for my results.»
Zhukayev also spoke about the importance of homegrown role models such as Alexander Bublik, noting that seeing top players inspires juniors to dream big. «It’s always better to have good players, top players, than not to have,» he said. When asked if he sees himself as a role model, Zhukayev smiled: «Maybe — you’d have to ask the young guys. But I enjoy it when kids come up after matches for photos.»

 When asked whether playing at home is more exciting or nerves , the birthday boy said» Of course there are nerves , because you want to show your best tennis to the fans , family and yourself. It's not easy, especially when a lot of people come to watch . But I will try and handle it the best I Can , hopefully it will be easier for me this time
